Poor Journalism Standard Worries NUJ President

The President of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Mallam Mohammed Garba, has decried the declining standard of journalism practice in the country in recent times. He spoke in an interview with NAN after inaugurating the committee of the Ladi Lawal NUJ Journalist Award of the year 2012.

FAIR demands Investigation into Attack on Tanzanian Editor

The Chairperson of Tanzania Editors Forum, Absalom Kibanda, is reported to have been attacked at his home in Dare Salaam.The Forum for African Investigative  Reporters (FAIR) representing 100 journalists and editors across the continent, demands an urgent investigation into recent cases of abuse and harassment towards Tanzanian journalists.
