NPC not Against Press Freedom
The Nigerian Press Council (NPC) in a statement, Thursday, July 25, 2013 described as misleading the advertorial by the Newspaper Proprietors Association of Nigeria (NPAN) that NPC is moribund. NPC said that following an appeal against the High Court decision at the Court of Appeal, the judgment is held in abeyance until the appeal is resolved.
